Children's Ministry

The Church of Tollhouse offers a comprehensive Sunday School Program, a mid-week AWANA club as well as additional outreach and fellowship opportunities. The Sunday School curriculum is designed to cover the entire Bible every 3 years. We seek not only to provide an age appropriate, in-depth education of biblical facts, but also to have the children experience biblical truth. This includes: personal salvation, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, sincere love of God, godly wisdom, ethical righteousness, personal peace, freedom from bad habits, right relationships, spiritual discipline, and service to God and others. We want our children to know how to live a godly life in an ungodly society as well as to take their place in the Christian community. Through our ministry we seek to teach them to love God, to pray, to witness, to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and to lead lives which will make them successful in school and ultimately in their marriages and chosen work.

Philosophy & Purpose

The Children’s Ministry at the Church of Tollhouse operates on the premise that the first responsibility for the spiritual development of children lies with their parents. We believe that raising children and youth to know, love and serve Christ is the most important mission that God gives to parents. Deuteronmy 6:7 “…and you shall teach them (God’s commandments) diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” We seek to support parents in the spiritual discipleship of their children, and to shepherd children who may not receive spiritual training at home. The overall goal for each child is to develop and equip them to become a fully functioning believer in the body of Christ.
